6th CEM Africa Summit to take place in Cape Town this August

The largest Customer Experience Management Summit in Africa will take place on the 16th and 17th of August 2017 at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town. Now in its 6th year, the summit has grown exponentially, already showing a 35% increase in attendees on 2016’s event.
With swift advancements in technology, industries need to be innovative and flexible to changes within the CX ecosystem. CEM Africa 2017 will explore both the current and future state of CX. The event commits to strengthening the industry within the African continent by providing a platform for the sharing of ideas and the development of the CX industry.
The summit provides a platform for like-minded CX professionals to showcase their extensive industry knowledge as well as solutions to shape consumers’ perception of brands in an authentic and relevant manner. With over 50 speakers presenting informative and educational workshops and keynotes, the event promises to provide invaluable insider knowledge into every aspect involved in creating an exceptional customer experience.

The CEM Africa Summit agenda will explore four key topical tracks: The Influence of Advancing Technology; Redesigning the Customer Journey; Internal Changes for Positive Experiences; and Understanding the Customer.
The advisory panel includes: Prof. Adre Schreuder, CEO & Founder, Consulta & Sacsi; Iain Meaker, Executive Manager - Commercial Distribution, Comair; Ica Van Eeden, Former Head of Customer Service & Experience, Takealot; Ian Golding, Certified Customer Experience Professional; and Shep Hyken, Customer Service Expert.
Speakers include CX thought-leaders such as: Sven Schoof, Head of Customer Experience at Spree; Phakiso Tlali, Director, Customer Experience at Gauteng Provincial Government; Graham Stephen, Chief Commercial Officer at Wonga; Julio Hernandez, Global Customer Lead at KPMG; and Khomotso Molabe, Executive & Head: Client Experience Transformation at Standard Bank.
For the first time ever, Kinetic will be hosting the Customer Experience Africa Awards on the evening of the 15th of August at the Century City Conference Centre. This gala evening, preceding the summit, will recognise the most influential brands, therefore celebrating and promoting the highest level of customer experience in Africa.
It was that time of the year again, for the team at Clover Mama Afrika to get on the road and do a surprise visit to the amazing Mama’s in Seshego, Ubombo, and Mpumalanga. The roadshow saw the team travelling throughout these areas visiting the Clover Mamas to establish their progress and needs in their respective projects.
Experiential marketing is what brands do to get their stakeholders to engage with them; to "participate" in meaningful brand experiences. As a discipline it’s been defined in many ways – one being a forum where a brand can "extend a hand" to touch and engage the consumer.
Clover Mama Afrika, Clover’s CSI project, together with one of their loyal project partners, MiX Telematics, have shown their support for Madiba Day by assisting Clover Mama Afrika’s, Mama Nondumiso Mpitimpiti, of the Step Ahead Bakery in Amalinda Forest, East London, with the launch of her brand-new tea garden.
The top three finalists in the 2017 Championship Boerewors competition were announced at the Top 18 Round in Cape Town yesterday. The competition was tough, but the recipes of Queen Mathebule (from Malamulele, Limpopo), James Lebepe (from Atteridgeville, Gauteng) and Moses Mathebule (from Lenyenye, Limpopo) proved to be a cut above the rest.
