Africa’s largest eCommerce event is on its way to East Africa
Kinetic - Jul 10th, 09:57
Following four years of comprehensive success in Cape Town the E-commerce Africa has followed the advancing markets outside of South Africa, seeing an unequivocal need for a purely East African event of the same type. The event is to be held from 31st October to 1st November at the Radisson Blu in Nairobi, Kenya and is already expected to connect professionals from all industries with established, innovative eCommerce partners.
Kinetic, the organisers of the event, are so confident the event will be a regular annual stalwart in East Africa they have announced a never-heard-of buy one get one free all-access-pass to the event this year to ensure the business community throughout East Africa come together to enable each other to reach a type of growth in online selling, mobile solution deployment and particularly innovative Fintech solutions, not bound by the regulatory influences found in more westernised countries.
This is a purely East African event where you are asked to be a part of the movement; a part of the revolution in your region, making waves and showing the rest of the world that Africa is now setting the standard for online transactions and customer satisfaction.
eCommerce East Africa aims to offer solutions to help online sellers succeed. If you already sell online, you’ll come away from the event with completely new online merchandising ideas, selling tools, marketing outlets, and operational strategies. If you don’t yet sell online, you’ll find out how to efficiently move your offline business online. If you are a start-up, you’ll discover ways to break into eCommerce with minimal upfront costs using various online store, dropship, print-on-demand, affiliate marketing, and payment solutions on display.
East African countries are fully aware of the potential of the region as a champion hub of cross border business interaction and as a result Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, the United Republic of Tanzania, and Uganda agreed in December 2018 to make trade between them and with other countries cheaper, faster and simpler in a significant boost for economic integration in East Africa and continental trade facilitation.
This enthusiasm is echoed by Peter Munya, Cabinet Secretary for the Government of Kenya who will open up the show to introduce a plethora of market leaders such as DHL, I&M Bank, Woolworths, Naivas Supermarkets, and eCommerce expertise from David Elsner, Services Country Manager, Jumia; Charles Sabula, Head of Business Development and Operations, PigiaMe; Daniel Maison, Co-founder & CEO, Sky. Garden; Nancy Riwa, BOP PPM Manager: East Africa, Anheuser-Busch InBev; Kamarichi Mbarani, CEO, Medios; Andrew Ruturi, CEO, VituMob; Chantel Botha, Customer Experience Director, Brand Love; Prof. Bitange Ndemo: *Chairman of Distributed Ledgers & Artificial Intelligence, Government of Kenya *ICT specialist and an Associate professor in Entrepreneurship, University of Nairobi *Board Director, Safaricom Limited; Mansoor Hussein, Managing Director, Hashmart; and the whole event moderated by Kelvin Kimani, Rwanda Country Manager, Unilever.
