Another prestige cuvée Scintilla from The House of J.C. Le Roux

NEW PRODUCTS

Issued by GC Communications on behalf of The House of JC Le Roux - Mar 25th 2014, 12:38

The House of J.C. Le Roux, South Africa’s leading home of sparkling wine, has released another prestige cuvée from its elegant Méthode Cap Classic collection, the highly anticipated 2008 Scintilla.

This signature Cap Classique is only produced in exceptional vintages and follows in the footsteps its award winning predecessor, the 2012 Amorim Méthode Cap Classique Challenge champion, Scintilla 2003.

Luxuriously smooth and well-balanced, Scintilla 2008 is made in the classic French tradition in true champagne style.

Under the watchful eye of Cellar Master Elunda Basson, secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle in the dark, temperature controlled cellar, giving rise to the minute, scintillating bubbles that enliven the palate. Using age-old French traditions, combined with the latest technology, The House of J.C. Le Roux creates Cap Classiques for all palates that can compete with the best Champagnes of France.

Scintilla 2008 is a classic blend of Chardonnay (70%) and Pinot Noir (30%) and spent a minimum of five years on the lees to develop its complexity and regal character. Created for the connoisseur in a stylish dark bottle, this graceful flagship evokes an air of elegance, beauty and sophistication, representing one of life’s finer pleasures.

“Our outstanding J.C. Le Roux Scintilla 2008 is made from only the very best grapes of the vintage. It has a brilliant light straw colour, fresh citrus notes on the nose and integrated baked bread flavours with an elegant youthful finish that will benefit from additional bottle maturation,” says Elunda.

J.C. Le Roux Scintilla 2008 is available at boutique wine shops and restaurants, selling for R175 at the cellar door in Stellenbosch.
