At the fast approaching South African Council of Shopping Centres Research Conference, the main aim is to be ahead of such changes, keeping those in attendance informed and prepared.

Emerging consumer behaviour, cutting edge trends and the latest industry technology are pillars that form the foundation of the SACSC Research Conference. 2017 marks the seventh-year anniversary of this event and like previous years, attendees can look forward to insightful speakers, thought-provoking topics and peer-to-peer networking. The event takes place at the Maslow Hotel, Sandton on May 17, 2017.

This year’s line-up includes some of the most influential voices in technology, trends and consumer behaviour. The programme has been crafted to shed light on how to succeed in these changing times. The SACSC Research Conference will delve into South Africa’s economy and how it affects retailers and consumers providing a holistic view on the industry.

On the consumer perspective, the event will take a closer look at the infamous millennials and what they are spending their money on. Speakers will touch on trends nationally and internationally and put a spotlight on the latest technology that is taking the retail and shopping centre world by storm, showcasing a different approach to bricks and mortar versus online stores. In spite of the challenges, the industry has advanced progressively and research-driven decisions have been crucial to paint a clear picture of the market and empower the retail and property industry.
