Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate Tequila Launched In South Africa

Pernod Ricard South Africa is proud to announce the release of Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate Tequila in South Africa, a fashionable addition to Olmeca’s authentic Mexican heritage, exotic personality, and intriguing background with roots tied to the Olmeca culture from ancient Mexico.

Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate fuses the tastes of tequila and cocoa, combining these two authentic Mexican flavours to create premium ready-to-serve tequila-based liqueurs and cocktails. Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate, with a lower 35% alc. vol, is easy to enjoy, making it an ideal alternative to regular cocktails and liqueurs. Bringing together a dynamic, colourful label with the iconic Olmeca bottle, Olmeca Fusion appeals to a progressive and stylish audience. With the huge popularity of low-alcohol flavoured shots, Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate is going to be the taste on everyone’s lips this summer.

Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate Tequila was launched in South Africa at trendy ‘Release the Flavour’ parties: both prime cocktail-sipping, tequila-downing, hot-and-happening events: at Shine Studios in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, and at The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, Cape Town. Amidst the hub-bub of festivity at these ultra hip parties, the delicious dark chocolate flavour was revealed when a crate burst open and gorgeous Olmeca Fusion babes served cocktails and shots to the happy hordes. Celebrities, models, bartenders, trendsetters and tequila enthusiasts indulged in Olmeca’s new nectar and danced the night away as leading DJs rocked the house, thumping the beat and pounding the bass.

What you taste?
Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate has a smooth, silk-like texture that perfectly accompanies the rich dark chocolate flavour, balanced with a dash of tequila. It is smooth and effortlessly drinkable.

Chilled shots or on the rocks

Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate Tequila will be available from boutique liquor stores, upmarket restaurants and bars and the recommended retail price is R180.

Olmeca Tequila

The range of Olmeca Tequilas currently available in South Africa includes: Olmeca Blanco, Olmeca Reposado, Olmeca Extra Aged Edición Black, Olmeca Tezon Blanco, Olmeca Tezon Reposado, Olmeca Tezon Añejo and the new addition, Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate. Olmeca Tequila is produced to the highest quality standards using artisanal production methods and skills passed down from generations. Ripe agave (a succulent plant), grown in volcanic soil in Jalisco, Mexico, are harvested after 7 to 8 years. After slowly cooking the agave in traditional brick ovens, the juices are fermented and double distilled in authentic copper pot stills. Thereafter a careful ageing process in bourbon casks results in a superior tequila, characterised by intensity of aromas and flavours, stability and clarity as well as consistency, making it surprisingly smooth and easy to drink. Olmeca Tequila is used in a wealth of classic and contemporary cocktails, by top international bartenders, in major cities all over the world.
