Polytij Africa is a supplier of an innovative range of thermal inkjet inks for porous, non-porous and direct food contact for industrial HP thermal inkjet printers. Polytij Africa offers an exclusive range of unique, custom inks for our range of POLYtij ® HP thermal inkjet printers.

New inks added to the range are Aqueous Pharmatij, Pharmatij Solvent, Hybridtij, Nanotij and Nanotij Ultra.

Pharmatij Aqueous ink cartridge is suitable for security coding in high output industrial printing applications designed for porous substrates such as cardboard and paper. When exposed to 365nm blacklight the Pharmatij ink changes from black to either blue, green or red depending on the ink type, as a result, the ink is ideal for security applications for customers seeking a low cost-effective option.

Pharmatij Solvent ink is ideal for the pharmaceutical applications, offering dark, sharp text and barcode printing on substrates such as blister foil, aluminium, OPP and PET film and nylon and UV laminated papers. Methanol-free, the ink uses absorption for adhesion and has a throw distance of 2mm which limits applications to flat surfaces.

Hybridtij semi-porous ink has the ability to print onto kraft paper, coated board and wax coated cartons. As a result, this ink offers maximum flexibility for most production lines in the FMCG market. Offering a high optical density and edge definition which enhances print capabilities for both text and barcodes which is not available with standard porous inks.

Nanotij and Nanotij Ultra are nano pigmented aqueous inks with yields that have deep, rich outputs that don’t smudge and have the highest density formula’s available, ensuring high saves on ink consumption. Yields up to four times more than standard dye-based inks. Highly resistant to fading, smearing and chemical alterations ensuring it is ideal for barcoding on porous substrates such as kraft paper, cardboard, and various coated papers. Ideal for mailing, packaging applications and ticketing applications.
