We all know how special our moms are, but sometimes we don’t really know how to show it. The grade 8 learners at Forte Secondary School in Soweto recently wrote a number of heartfelt and special essays about their moms for McCain and their “It’s the little things that mean everything” campaign. The learner’s efforts were recently rewarded when the McCain team returned to the school to give them all a big surprise.
Moms are incredibly special creatures, they always know exactly what you need even if you don’t say it. They have superpowers to help find that lost homework book, their hugs can turn a bad day into a good one and their food always seems to taste delicious no matter what they cook. It is these little things that children often take for granted that often mean the most. McCain South Africa wanted to dive a little deeper into these little things and recently visited three schools across the country, with their new ambassador Jessi, to see what the children really wanted to thank their moms for, how they really feel about them and all that they do.
There is no instruction manual for being a mom, but somehow, they just seem to know what you need. They are the undercover superhero’s found in everyday life, making sure that no tummy is left grumbling, no schoolbook gets left behind and she is the one person that can always be counted on to be sitting in the front row at the school play.
