Our client is a recognised multinational Food & Beverage conglomerate. We seek a suitably qualified Technical Learning & Development Specialist whose experience and expertise has been honed in the Manufacturing and Technical field ideally within the FMCG Food & Beverage / Alcohol or similar environment.

Reporting to the HR Executive you will be responsible for the complete Learning and Development agenda for the business and engage with Executives of all functional streams locally as well as the Group’s international training department. The role requires that you oversee employee development and talent management focusing on Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Information Technology areas. You are also responsible for maintaining relationships with the Department of Labour, Food Bev SETA and other industry bodies.

Effectively manage learning and development by conducting skills audits in collaboration with stakeholders, planning for training, rollout of planned interventions, monitor effectiveness of implemented interventions and reporting to all stakeholders (internal and external). Work in collaboration with external stakeholders to align with National and International learning and development objectives.

Key responsibilities include: • Talent management • Employee Development • Talent Pipeline Development • Stakeholder Management • Regulatory and Sustainability Affairs from a Learning & Development perspective.

You need: • a relevant tertiary qualification, your Degree can be in Food Science/Technology or Human Resource Management with Employee Development as a major subject • a suitable ODETDP Qualification (min level at NQF 5). Technical qualifications and/or experience would be advantageous. To your advantage is a Certificate in Organisational Development.

The role requires:- * at least 5 Years’ experience in FMCG Food and Beverages Operations in a Senior Management role in a Learning and Development capacity * Strong technical / practical abilities in the Manufacturing and Technical fields, as well as strong analytical and numerical skills * Fluency in English (written and verbal) as well as proficiency on the Microsoft Office suite including Advanced skills on MS Excel is essential.
