Global, leading personal care manufacturer seeks a seasoned

New Business Development Manager
(Contract manufacturing and private label)

based in Cape Town.

Backed by a longstanding, multi-national manufacturing and marketing company of leading personal care products, this position calls for an energetic individual who can take the lead in maximising the production/sales of our contract manufacturing, private label and institutional sales business.

Working closely with the General Manager and the SA team you will:

• develop strategies to identify key opportunities for profi table sales/volume growth with a view to successfully winning new business and appropriate bids. Your target market will span across multiple organisations i.e. branded businesses, government institutions, distributors and retailers that are conducive to contract manufacturing and private labels.

• not only co-ordinate the contract until it has landed, but translate the decisions and deliverables into your manager and team to successfully execute on.

• ensure the continuous tracking and timely submission of the sales and marketing monthly progress review with a view to ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.

Along with your matric plus a tertiary qualifi cation in Sales/Marketing/Logistics (Technical qualifi cation to understand manufacturing operations advantageous), you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales.

Your strong conceptual understanding of sales, marketing and technical aspects for new business development in contract manufacturing will be ideal.

Exceptional communications/interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building, sustaining and infl uencing relationships at all levels is necessary.
