Established in 1978, IMPERIAL Distribution today has over 2 000 employees. A specialist in dedicated contract logistics with dedicated on-site management, the company operates within the IMPERIAL Logistics Consumer Products division. It has a fleet of over 650 trucks, utilised across more than 80 different contracts across South Africa, boasting a national management and business support infrastructure and has a track record in various types of supply chains, ranging across industries.

Mining equipment manufacturer Joy Global Mining has awarded the outsource contract for its distribution service to IMPERIAL Distribution, part of the IMPERIAL Logistics Group. The three-and-a-half year contract, which was won on open tender, represents the company’s first in the mining industry.
