Drinks Business Review - Oct 18th 2011, 09:54

VuQo Holdings Corp, the producer of VuQo Premium Vodka, said the company has received a letter of acquisition from a major global company known for establishing and operating bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and hotel and resort properties.

The offer, which is estimated to be worth between $30m - $40m, is dependent on the fulfillment of a number of mutually agreed upon conditions.

VuQo CEO Rich Cabael said this is a unique opportunity for the company and its shareholders, and the board will consider the proposal, its options and provide further updates soon.

VuQo Premium Vodka is distilled from coconut nectar. VuQo is 40% alcohol by volume, continuously distilled and filtered multiple times, and is packaged in a 750ml bottle.

VuQo is currently available in the US in California, Nevada, Texas, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York as well as Guam and the Philippines.

The company also owns the brand Haliya Light Fruit Wines, which are wines handcrafted in small batches using fruits of the Philippines. Haliya is available in two variants - Mango Wine (13% ABV) and Black Plum Wine (12% ABV).
