Capi, European market leader in electronics retail at airports, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Hugo Boss to sell Hugo Boss’s mobile accessories for smart phones and tablet computers at Capi’s stores in European airports.

Capi, European market leader in electronics retail at airports, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Hugo Boss to sell Hugo Boss’s mobile accessories for smart phones and tablet computers at Capi’s stores in European airports.

Hugo Boss, the fashion and lifestyle brand, has developed a range of accessories for smart phones and tablet computers. Hugo Boss understands that users want to protect and individualize their devices and with this in mind has developed a luxury line of bags and cases. Since the beginning of the year, these products have been sold exclusively by Capi in European airports. Initial sales have exceeded the expectations of both Capi and Hugo Boss.

“We have chosen Capi as our exclusive partner because Capi’s distinctive store concept is a great platform to showcase our products to an international audience,” says Frank Hackmann, European director of STRAX, distributor of Hugo Boss. “Smartphones and tablet computers have become status symbols. Protection for these products must be both functional and fashionable. We created a luxury line of protective cases and bags that match the well-known style and image of Hugo Boss. Normally we sell these products through our own channels so when it came to airport retail, where we reach an important segment of our target audience, we wanted a partner with a comparable appearance. We have found this in Capi.”

“Visitors to airports are ready to spend but have high expectations,” says Peter Wiggers, CEO of Capi. “We cater to this with innovative marketing concepts, an emphasis on an exclusive shop experience and our focused range of high-quality electronics brands. Our marketing strategy drew inspiration from exclusive fashion and luxury fragrance brands. The look of a premium brand like Hugo Boss fits perfectly in our stores and its mobile accessories complement the smart phones and tablet computers we sell.”
