Tongaat Hulett appoints new CEO

Tongaat Hulett is pleased to announce the appointment of John Gavin Hudson as the CEO, and an executive director, of the company with effect from 1 February.
Hudson (49) is an accomplished business executive with considerable experience in diverse and challenging markets in the alcoholic beverages industry. He was previously the Beer Group president and CEO of Anadolu Efes, a company listed on the Turkish stock exchange. Prior to this, Hudson served as the managing director of Anadolu Efes’ beer businesses in Turkey and Russia and spent 26 years with SABMiller, holding senior positions in South Africa and internationally.
The board has every confidence that Hudson, with the support of the executive team, will be successful in leading the strategic review and direction of Tongaat Hulett, restore shareholder returns to acceptable levels, improve cash generation and reduce debt.
The board welcomes Hudson to his new position and thanks Sydney Mtsambiwa for his contribution as interim CEO during the past three months. This announcement is issued in accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements.AgriOrbit

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) announces the appointment of Jacques Vermeulen, the current managing director of its international division, to the position of Group CEO of CCBA from 1 December 2018. Vermeulen has served as managing director of CCBA’s International Division, which covers all of CCBA’s Africa operations outside South Africa, since July 2016. He first joined the Coca-Cola system in 1995.
