Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL), has appointed Mr Eric Otoo as the 'Route to Consumer' (RtC) Director in line with the company's vision of dominating the beverage industry in the country.

The RtC role is a new initiative that Diageo PLC, the parent company of Guinness Ghana, has introduced in all its markets worldwide to ensure efficient movement of products from key distributors to wholesalers, retailers, bars and consumers.

Eric Otoo joins GGBL from McKinsey, one of the world’s leading management consultancies based in New York where his focus was on working with senior leadership teams across different industries on various strategic, finance and operational issues.

Commenting on the appointment, Peter Ndegwa, Managing Director of Ghana’s only total beverage business noted that the appointment of Mr Otoo is consistent with the company's drive to "seek great Ghanaian talents locally and internationally to help drive our 2017 vision of becoming the most vibrant and iconic business in Ghana."

Mr Otoo also has previous consulting experience with other firms in the United States over the last 10 years including Treacy & Company, Analysis Group and Towers Watson, covering various industries including airlines, consumer goods, healthcare, financial services, publishing and the media.

He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Certified Financial Manager (CFM).

Mr Otoo completed his O- and A-levels at St. Augustine's College, Cape Coast, prior to attending Grinnell College in the US, for his undergraduate studies.Copyright © 1994 - 2013 GhanaWeb. All rights reserved.
