Builders Warehouse, the leaders in home improvement, enters Botswana, opening its first store outside South Africa

Builders Warehouse is pleased to announce that it has opened its doors in Gaborone (Botswana), the brand’s first store outside of South Africa. The store opened on 22 September 2011.

Widely anticipated by local residents, the arrival of Builders Warehouse in Gabarone will give customers a new shopping experience by offering the widest selection of quality merchandise at the lowest possible prices.

Massbuild Chief Executive, Llewellyn Walters, warmly welcomed the Honorable Peter Siele, Minister of Labour & Home Affairs and the Honorable Vincent Seretse, Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry, to the official opening.

Commenting, Walters said: “As the largest home improvement retailer in the industry in South Africa, we are delighted to be opening in Gaborone. We look forward to bringing customers the best choice at the lowest possible prices, with exceptional service delivery thanks to our enthusiastic, experienced and committed staff.”

Customer appetite for the Builders Warehouse offering was reinforced with opening sales that far exceeded targeted expectations.

Builders Warehouse encourages continuous engagement and participation with the local communities that it serves and is specifically committed to supporting and promoting initiatives that focus on educational sustainability.

Builders Warehouse Gaborone donated 20,000P to each of the following schools: Ikageng primary School, Tswaragano Primary School, Moamogwe Primary School. The staff have visited each of the schools and have directly assisted them with minor revamping, gardening and painting.
