Johannesburg - The Competition Tribunal on Thursday approved Rainbow Chicken's [JSE:RBW] acquisition of a 64.2% interest in Foodcorp Holdings with conditions‚ which were not immediately available. 

The Competition Commission‚ which assessed the transaction earlier‚ concluded that the deal was unlikely to substantially lessen competition in the market.

Rainbow Chicken through its subsidiary‚ Capitau‚ acquired Foodcorp for R1.037bn.
