Samsung launches Galaxy S8 and S8+

Samsung’s hotly anticipated iPhone killer the Galaxy S8 launched this afternoon, in what is perhaps the most vital launch of the tech giant’s history.
Following the disastrous PR storm that came with the Galaxy Note 7’s exploding batteries and Samsung’s subsequent poor handling of the affair, its future in the mobile phone industry could hang in the balance.
The S8 and S8 plus both come with what Samsung call “infinity display” which is an extended version of its predecessor’s rounded screen, at 5.8 and 6.2 inches respectively.
Further features include a processor more powerful than any of its forerunners, with a GPU 21 percent faster than on the S7.
Among the announcements was an emphasis on the phone's durability and safety, boasting an eight-point battery testing process that “goes beyond the industry standard.”
Iris scanning, wireless charging, and rear fingerprint scanning have also been announced as features, alongside Samsung’s version of Siri, called Bixby.

New retail report reveals South Africa's most customer-centric retailers

A recent survey conducted by the global leaders in customer science, dunnhumby, titled the Customer-Centricity Index (CCI) reveals that South Africa’s most successful apparel retailers are those with a high focus on ‘customer-centricity’ defined as focusing on creating a positive customer experience by placing your customer in the centre of your retail decisions. According to the recent study, the local retailers that scored the highest on their overall customer-centricity score include Fabiani, Woolworths, H&M, Miladys, Markham, Cotton On and Mr Price.
