Clorets Launches a Fruity Fresh Breath Partner: Cherry Menthol!

NEW PRODUCTS

Aug 11th 2011, 11:21

Popular chewing-gum brand Clorets, renowned as the ‘Fresh Breath Expert’ is proud to introduce its first ever fruit flavoured chewing gum called Cherry Menthol. A long-time post-meal favourite for fending off the oh-so-enjoyable, but oh-so-awkward after-effects of onion and garlic, Clorets now combines its signature odourmasking ingredients, Actizol and Chlorophyll, with a fruit & menthol flavour combination.

South Africa’s “Fresh Breath Expert” now allows consumers to indulge in all their favourite pungent foods without having to worry about the after-effects – but rather get a delicious cherry hit.

Ian Jeffrey, Kraft Foods Category Leader: Gum, says “Clorets Cherry Menthol has already proven to be a hit flavour and we’re very excited to provide consumers with a greater variety of choice whilst delivering on outstanding taste credentials and proven breath freshening benefits,” he says. “The winning combination of Actizol and Chlorophyll with the new fruit and menthol taste is a powerful recipe for those who have adventurous palates. With this delicious new fruit flavoured chewing gum, even the staunchest onion and garlic lover won’t be afraid to whip up some pungent gourmet dishes. With the burst of fruity menthol you will only be caught with fresh breath!”

The launch of the new flavour and pack will be supported by new variations of the popular “Love onion and garlic, but not all the time” television adverts, a sampling campaign and sponsorships across a number of media platforms. Clorets will also be cooking up delicious authentic South African braais at selected major Shisa Nyama’s nationwide from the end of July to end September 2011 on select dates. The freshening power of Clorets will be there to ensure all braai goers have a good time and when they leave there will be no doubt in their minds that Clorets is the leading breath freshening brand!

Clorets Cherry Menthol is available in stores nationwide from July 2011 for a RSP (recommended selling price) of R7,49.Click here for more information on Clorets
