Throughout April and May, Doritos will be hitting clubs and campuses to seek out those brave enough to take up a dare â and stand a chance of winning mega moola and awesome prizes.
To celebrate the launch of its daring new Roulette flavour, Doritos will be criss-crossing the country in search of adventurous go-getters who are willing to take a fun gamble on something deliciously different.
Each Doritos Roulette packet, you see, contains a handful of seriously hot chips hidden among a familiar Doritos flavour youâve come to know and love. Itâs a game of chance in every bite, so you never know what youâre gonna get!
The club and campus campaign takes this game of chance one step further, encouraging clubbers and students to âtake the dareâ. Theyâll be challenged to complete a light-hearted and entertaining dare â such as getting a semi-permanent Doritos tattoo or shaving off an eyebrow or two!
There are great cash prizes up for grabs for the most courageous participants, egged on by well-known comedian Tall A$$ Mo, the fast-quipping funnyman who was nominated for a Comicsâ Choice Award last year. Heâll be joined at the events by his outrageously stylish fiancĂŠe, Mome Nale â an international model, fashion entrepreneur, TV personality and hip-hop DJ.
The club dares will be filmed and edited into weekly âwebisodesâ that will be uploaded on to the Doritos Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DoritosSouthAfrica), as well as the website (www.doritosroulette.co.za) and mobisite (www.doritosroulette.mobi).
Members of the public can then go online to vote for their favourite wacky videos. At the end of each week, the video that scoops the most votes will be entered into a lucky draw for R10 000, and the overall winner will be announced on 11 June.
In addition, Doritos fans can play a free interactive online roulette game on the Doritos South Africa Facebook page and mobisite (activated for all smartphones in South Africa). Youâll start with a certain number of chips in your packet, and can earn extra chips by referring friends to the game. When the chips are down, the stakes are high â but so are the rewards!
Players stand a chance of winning a R500 daily cash prize, and the top three players with the highest points every day will be entered into a weekly lucky draw for a 16GB iPad 2 with 3G and Wi-fi, or a Blackberry Bold 9900, for the duration of the two-month campaign. Thatâs a total of eight iPads and eight Blackberrys up for grabs, plus a total of R28 000 in cash!
Says Nthabiseng Hlophe of Doritos South Africa: âWe look forward to making a game out of snacking â and have only one question for those whoâll try new limited-edition Doritos Roulette: âDo you dare?ââ
