Safari introduces new Fruit Gemz and Snaps treats for kids

NEW PRODUCTS

Sep 12th 2011, 10:31

In a fast paced world, snacking has become a lifestyle. For moms–on-the-go and with today’s variety of snacks on the market, selecting tasty and nutritious treats for kids is no mean feat!

Safari, for generations the trusted name in dried fruit, is solving this dilemma with their new good-tasting Safari Gemz & Snaps range for kids that will add fun and variety to lunchboxes.

Safari kids can expect two taste-bud exploding Gemz flavours, including Mixed Berry and Apple, while Safari Fruit Medley Snaps is a delicious fruit-bursting mix of Blueberry, Apple and Strawberry sticks.

“Today’s snacking lifestyle has become a challenge for moms who prefer to give their kids more nutritious but good tasting treats”, says Lydia Britz, Safari’s brand manager. “The new Safari Gemz and Snaps range fills the gap because not only does it contain 65% fruit pulp and is high in fibre, it’s also low in fat, making it the perfect sweet replacement”, says Britz.

The funky Safari Gemz and Snaps packaging was designed by BMFA Graphic Design Finished Art in Cape Town.

Safari Gemz is available in a case configuration of 24 X 4 X 20 g, with a shelf life of 9 months, while the Safari Snaps have a 20 X 6 X 20 g case configuration and a shelf life of 12 months. The Safari Gemz strip packs will retail for approximately R16.99, while the Safari Snaps will cost approximately R23.99 for the six pack.
