Ten Moms win a Year’s Supply of Huggies® Gold by saying “Bye-Bye”

Moms around the country have finally parted ways with old bulky, chafing nappies and have welcomed the new Huggies® Gold into their lives. The new Huggies® Gold nappy has a shape that is wider at the back than in the front so that it’s more like underwear. It also has a high cut and double shaped leg elastics that follow your baby’s curves.
At the end of 2010, Huggies® offered moms endless opportunities to interact with the brand including direct mailers, in-store promoters and discount coupons. All moms were also invited to visit www.huggies.co.za/saybyebye or sms the phrase “bye-bye” to 46001 to stand the chance to win a year’s supply of Huggies® Gold.
The competition closed on 28th February and we are proud to announce the ten winners. They are: Karla Roux, Lesego Sebolao, Jennifer du Plessis, Sandra Colloty, Ronald Caldecott, Moneera Mohammed, Jenny Nunes, Yolande Grobler, Nicolene Steyn and Shanna Tunnell.

SA to ban bisphenol A in baby bottles

This news escaped FSA's radar at the time... on March 25, 2011, the Department of Health issued a draft regulation to ban the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles. Draft regulation (R249) under the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972, aims to prohibit "The Manufacturing, Importation, Exportation And Sale Of Polycarbonate Infant Feeding Bottles Containing Bisphenol A". Interesed parties had three months (to June 25) to submit comments.
