Halls, the number one lozenge in the world is now fresher than ever with the launch of an upgraded recipe and a new ingredient which promises even greater freshness.
From May 2011 the popular Halls brand which includes Menthol Eucalyptus, Ice Blue, Cherry and Honey & Lemon boasts an enhanced refreshment experience– an active cooling ingredient which opens the airways and releases a fresh cool sensation.
Halls has also brightened up two of the brand’s flavours - Menthol Eucalyptus and Ice Blue – with the addition of ‘crystal beads’ and bright new packaging giving it a special refreshing sparkle.
“Halls, the world’s biggest lozenge brand in 50 countries with a rich heritage since the 1930s, is continuing to deliver new innovation. We are very excited to introduce the new Halls ingredient and believe that this everyday brand offers consumers great value, excellent quality and refreshing taste,” says Meredith Kelly, Kraft Foods South Africa, Category Leader: Candy.
The Halls packaging also includes a clever ‘cooling level indicator’ on each pack which visually aids consumers in selecting their ideal cooling level.
The Halls launch will be supported by a full through-the-line campaign to create excitement amongst consumers. The popular ‘Squirrel’ commercial will continue to flight across local TV channels highlighting the new ingredient and further entrenching the ‘free your voice’ positioning. The brand is also embarking on a nationwide sampling campaign at selected shopping centres, soccer stadiums and key commuter points.
“Halls invigorates the senses with a cooling sensation that wakes the mouth up with a menthol or fruity burst. Halls is great to eat every day, through winter and summer. Our new active cooling ingredient allows you the freedom to express yourself even more, so go on, free your voice like never before!” concludes Kelly.
The Halls range is available in stick packs, multipacks and individually wrapped sweets which are sold in bags of 72 units. The Halls range also includes Halls Vita C stick packs as well as Halls Coolers which are available in juicy Strawberry and Blackcurrant stick packs.
The fresh new Halls range will be available in all major retail outlets from May 2011 for an RSP (recommended selling price) of R5.99.Click here for more information on Halls
