Join the health and wellness revolution that’s sweeping the country by participating in the 2012 Look & Feel Good Expo, South Africa’s fastest-growing and most dynamic lifestyle event.
The expo attracted 31 000 visitors during 2011, and is gearing up for even greater things in 2012. It will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in Cape Town from 5 to 7 October 2012, and at the Coca-Cola dome in Johannesburg from 9 to 11 November 2012.
Now in its fourth year, this energetic youngster has established itself as the country’s leading health, wellness and lifestyle consumer exhibition. It has built up a solid track record in attracting blue-chip sponsors and exhibitors as well as a desirable demographic of visitors with disposable income.
Urban go-getters
Visitors to the Johannesburg and Cape Town expos are chiefly upper-LSM, cosmopolitan professionals who are interested in investigating new and different ways to enrich their lives – mentally, physically and spiritually.
With this focused visitor profile, the Look & Feel Good Expo has proved to be a successful stage for established companies and progressive start-ups to showcase their products and services. The event offers a premium platform to introduce and demonstrate new ranges, build customer bases, make direct sales and generate post-event orders. It helps build brands in an experiential way, which visitors respond to positively.
Exhibitors’ further benefit from the high exposure and visibility the expo provides, supported by a R15-million pre-event marketing campaign, and the hands-on assistance and innovative ideas of the organisers, Biz Events.
Exploring new wellness horizons
Commented Biz Events managing director Heidi Warricker: “The show is built on six key pillars – health, beauty, fitness, wellbeing, greening and happiness – it covers a vast spectrum of what visitors want and need to look and feel good.
“Those who come in search of a particular facet of vital living will also find themselves exposed to a variety of other, complementary avenues to achieve all-round wellness. Our visitor surveys indicate that much of the expo’s allure lies in the fun that visitors have in exploring and learning about new products, treatments and activities that they may like to try out.”
Warricker explained that visitors to the Look & Feel Good Expo are generally not of the “shop and go” variety, but prefer to linger at the show to appreciate its many attractions.
Many remain engaged for hours – browsing through the stalls, shopping for organic foodstuffs, alternative therapies and health products; attending free workshops and obtaining advice on lifestyle choices from experts; watching culinary pros whipping up nutritious dishes; as well as experiencing on-site spa and beauty therapies, ‘try-it’ dance and yoga classes and much more.
“It’s a highly interactive expo, where there’s always something going on – from a laughter therapy session to a pole-dancing demo,” she added.
