Reporting to the Manufacturing Executive, you will lead divergence and change in a multifaceted general management role with a people component spanning 600 full time employees and variable contractual employees.

This high impact role, leads a sizable team of Senior Managers (Heads of Department) in Sales | Distribution | Finance | Operations/Production | Quality | Health & Safety with centralized Regional Marketing and Human Resources support. It demands in-trade sales knowledge, commercial sense and financial acumen, ability to manage complexity. The Bakery Manager carries a 16.2 appointment.

Full responsibility for the Income Statement for assets, raw material balancing, production cycles (direct and indirect between production facilities), sales & distribution (logistics), customer / key account interface (formal retail and traditional trade), production and high priority quality, health & safety and food safety matters, down to security.

This position calls for a commercially qualified (B.Comm/BSc) individual with broad (general management) exposure gained within the FMCG Industry (short shelf life products ideally), ability to effectively lead across multiple sites, in-trade experience within the local & traditional markets as well as general trade. To sum this up: You have exceptional business acumen, inspirational leadership capability, well-developed intrapersonal and interpersonal capabilities (self-management, building trust, demonstrating integrity, valuing people, informative and persuasive communication style).
