Our client is a major multinational food & beverage business. Based in Centurion the Regional Account Manager has the opportunity to take on the challenge of managing one of their biggest regional retailer accounts.

You are great at understanding customer needs and implementing strategies to grow customers as strategic partners. Whilst using your sales and marketing skills to add value, you also need to have prior experience within a Marketing/Sales/Trade Marketing FMCG environment, must be able to demonstrate knowledge in channel strategy management, have high level negotiation capability having previously managed a sizable top end regional retailer account. (THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE).

Other key responsibilities are centred around Customer Marketing & Channel Strategy Management. You will and need to: ● Implement Fact Based Insights & Opportunities ● Understand brand propositions and link into Customer Plans & Activity ● Customer Plan implementation and Evaluation: Interpreting Company Strategy to formulate into Channel Specific Plans, by using applicable Tools, KPI’s and procedures ● Understand Brand Value and Pricing in order to manage Profitability and Price Realisation ● Understand geographical dynamics of the sales area ● Maintain product ranging within customer channel ● Display financial acumen ● Supply Chain and Supplier Management: Align Company plan with customer plan in order to minimize out-of-stocks and maximise service levels ● Manage and evaluate relationships with Sales Force (PFS) to drive quality and continuous improvement within customer channels.

The ideal candidate has a Degree or Diploma in Sales/Commerce/Marketing with a successful track record and solid experience in a Key Account Management/Regional Account Management role – held within the FMCG Foods or Beverages industry (THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE).

You have a proven track record of maintaining profitable growth, achievement of sales targets, retaining and growing customer base and build excellent customer relations. You are ambitious, energetic and driven with strong strategic and analytical skills. You need a thorough understanding of the Retail/Wholesale Industry, budgeting and forecasting experience, and the ability to present and influence with credibility at all levels (verbal and written).

As the National Account Manager is based in Cape Town, you need to be self-driven, have effective time management skills and be able to work independently and with accuracy.
