ACDOCO SA is an FMCG supplier company, looking for a Brand Manager to work in the Marketing department, in Linbro Business Park, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full Schwarzkopf brand (Retail Hair Care) and will report directly to the Marketing Manager.
Qualifications and Experience Required
• Experience in hair care brand management and retail essential
• Relevant marketing qualification
• Minimum 2 years in similar position
• Self-sufficient in all aspects of marketing administration and computer skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage allocated brand portfolio including internal and external brand communication
• Develop short and long-term brand strategies taking into account strategic directive, market parameters and company resources
• Develop, implement and manage all communications plans and budget for each brand
• Ensure implementation of and optimal effectiveness of all marketing initiatives across all media types
• Effective management and tracking of marketing budget
• Remain up-to-date with market trends particularly within FMCG market
• Developing an annual marketing plan - this should detail the year’s activity to meet agreed marketing and company objectives
• Conducting situational analysis - monitoring and analysing market/industry trends in order to identify opportunities for market penetration
• Effectively manage and execute tactical activities - including managing the marketing mix, implementation of marketing activities and financial tracking
• Evaluate and interpret customer research and understand consumer insights
• Write briefs for advertising agencies and effectively manage brief outcomes
• Working with the Marketing Manager to conceptualise the most appropriate marketing campaigns, liaising with the agencies delivering the campaigns, chasing deliverables and tracking costs
• Provide support in advertising and promotional design and execution by facilitating development of ads/promotional material & managing all aspects of print production and distribution
• Budget management - to recommend appropriate ways of apportioning brand spend
