PRIZES FOR PERDEBERG

Having hidden its light under a bushel in recent years, Perdeberg Winery has come out guns blazing. The cooperative was ranked among the top ten performing wineries at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show this week, winning an impressive eight bronze awards as well as the Trophy for Best Chenin Blanc for its SAAM Mountain Middelburg Chenin Blanc 2007.

Perdeberg Winery CEO, Gerhard van der Watt says: “This is the second time we’ve won a batch of awards in as many months. We are delighted to win these accolades and we’re raising a glass to ourselves for our achievement.”

This latest news might be greeted by some online toasts too. Perdeberg has been running a unique Facebook application entitled ‘clink to win’ that gives people who raise a glass to anything they like the chance to win Perdeberg wines.
