Pernod Ricard-owned Scotch brand The Glenlivet has launched three new single cask expressions, which will be exclusively available in travel retail.
The Glenlivet Fore Burn Single Cask is a 19-year-old whisky aged in a single Sherry cask, The Glenlivet Watercairn Single Cask has been aged for 18 years in an American Bourbon cask, and The Glenlivet Tarland Single Cask is a cask strength bottling aged in a Hogshead cask.
To mark the launch, Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Asia is hosting promotional activity in ‘single malt hubs’ across Asia.
In an activation running until the end of April 2017, travellers to Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan will have the opportunity to experience a distillery-themed pop-up space, which will host comparative tastings between The Glenlivet Fore Burn Single Cask and The Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve.
Customers who purchase a bottle of The Glenlivet Fore Burn Single Cask at Taoyuan will receive a personalised leather neck tag featuring their initials.
Similar tastings for The Glenlivet Watercairn Single Cask will take place at Hong Kong International Airport in April, and The Glenlivet Tarland Single Cask at Singapore Changi Airport in May and June.
The Glenlivet Fore Burn Single Cask has an RRP of US$375, The Glenlivet Watercairn Single Cask is priced US$360 and The Glenlivet Tarland Single Cask can be purchased for US$325.
Earlier this year, Pernod Ricard Travel Retail EMEA launched a ‘Reserve and Collect’ service for The Glenlivet in the UK. thespiritsbusiness.com © 2017
