Shoprite honours top suppliers for 2011

The Shoprite Group of Companies paid tribute to their suppliers at its 2011 Supplier Awards held in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 26 November. This glamorous ceremony, held annually, provides an opportunity for the Group to recognise suppliers for their unstinting support and collaborative approach toward the company’s business during the past year.
The following suppliers were honoured in their respective categories:
Confectionery and Beverages: Shaun van Reenen, Simba
Contractor/ Service Provider: Faeesa Adams, Salient
Perishables and Service Departments: Deon Calthorpe, Willowton Group
Fruit and Vegetables: George Maxted, Harvest Fresh
Ambient Groceries: Gareth Ramsden, Rhodes Food Group (Pty) Ltd
Toiletries: Thomy de Charmoy, Unilever
Meat Markets: Jack Miles, Meat Traders
Non-Foods: Gary Crouser, Control Chemicals (Pty) Ltd
Furniture: Michael Metz, Restonic (Pty) Ltd
Housebrand/Private Labels: Salim Karsan, Heartland Foods
Upcoming Suppliers: Danie Bierman, Eagles Valley Poultry
Jeff Borstrock (Jeffart Signs (Pty) Ltd) and Geoff Brownell (Tilespace) were each presented with the CEO's Award in recognition of their many years of exceptional partnerships with the Shoprite Group.
