Clover confirmed as iconic South African brand

BRAND ACTIVITY

Jul 23rd, 09:06

Clover was recently reconfirmed as a brand with a firm place in the hearts and minds of South Africans when it won in the milk category in the TGI Iconic Brands survey for 2013. In addition, the country’s leading dairy brand secured a place in the top 30 icon brands list, reaffirming its reputation as a brand that unites us as a nation across the spectrums of language, income, race and age.

South Africa Speaks

The largest of its kind in the country, the TGI Iconic Brands survey sees 15 000 face-to-face interviews being staged with South African consumers, measuring the usage of some 8000 brands in 42 different product categories.

The brands that ultimately secure top honours in the survey define a common experience, often on a daily basis, to which South Africans are dedicated to in a real sense. Icons are described as the objects of great devotion and attention and it is the TGI ICON Brands survey which gives voice to these brands to which South Africans are firmly committed.

Iconic Taste

“Icon brands are quintessentially brands that are used by South Africans irrespective of race, creed or colour, which is why we at Clover are so very proud to have been positioned as a top brand in this survey. For over 100 years, Clover dairy products have been a firm favourite at family mealtimes.

While this is mainly due to simply producing great-tasting products, Clover understands that making even the simplest of mealtimes ‘Way Better’ is also about providing consumers with products that make their lives easier.”

“The findings of the TGI Icon Brands survey have confirmed that we’re achieving our objectives and more. We are truly grateful to the thousands of South Africans who voted for us, and our placement as an iconic brand has simply strengthened our resolve to continue to deliver way better quality and taste to our loyal customers,” says Clover senior brand manager Sherian King.
