Tetra Pak launches new aseptic carton with bio-based plastic film and cap

Tetra Pak has launched a new version of its Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 Edge carton, this time incorporating a bio-based plastic film and cap, made from polymers derived from sugar cane. 

The new carton, which uses the Bio-based LightCap 30, has achieved four-star certification from Vinçotte, a Belgian-based accreditation agency that assesses the renewable content of packaging products. The new package boasts a 17% lower carbon footprint than a standard package, according to a study undertaken by the IVL Swed...
