Need an appetising break from your computer, tablet or phone? Stellenzicht winemaker Guy Webber has come up with a great solution; a plush and juicy blend of Shiraz and Pinotage. Called RED ESCape, the packaging for the very real (i.e. non-virtual) red takes its cue from the digital world that increasingly dominates our lives.

Succulent and fruity with flavours reminiscent of sun-kissed mulberries and other ripe red fruit offset by a delicious truffle-like earthiness, RED ESCape is very fruit-friendly, says Guy, and is just the right attachment to bring to a social event.

We’ve sent you a bottle of this delicious new wine to invite you to participate in its online public launch on internet-based radio station, Zone Radio, between 10:00 and 11:00 on Wednesday, 13 February 2013.

All you’ll need to do to be part of this launch is to log onto www.zoneradio.co.za at the specified time to taste RED ESCape with Guy and listen to him elaborate on what to expect from this new wine. You will also be able to interact with Guy via Facebook () and Twitter (@RedEscapeWine). A podcast of the online launch will be available on www.zoneradio.co.za from 14 February onwards, for those unable to participate in the live broadcast.

The 2010 vintage of RED ESCape is now available from the Stellenzicht farm in Stellenbosch, and leading liquor outlets nationwide. It retails for around R54 a bottle. Be on the look-out for the most unusual and playful label on the shelf. It’s all about connecting, which wine does better than any other drink!
