On the 22nd November 2013 Foodcorp brand Tafelberg hosted a Christmas party for special needs children with learning disabilities attending Zodwa Special School in Atteridgeville.

“Zodwa is one of the charities that we support,” says Senior Brand Manager for Supreme Flour and Foodcorp Milling Liezel van Bergen. “Although Supreme Flour sponsors all the baking ingredients for the home economics classes throughout the year, this year our Tafelberg Maize brand decided to sponsor the Christmas party as well.”

The day was filled with cultural activities and dancing as the children entertained everyone that attended the party. After the festivities all the kids were presented with a Tafelberg hamper consisting of a ruler and pencil kit, 2.5kg Tafelberg Maize bag, soccer or netball, cap and a bucket of sweets.

“Tafelberg Maize is the ideal sponsor in this environment as its maize meal contains essential vitamins and minerals, especially the all-important B vitamin, which assists to keep energy levels up,” says Liezel. “It is always gratifying to know that we are doing the right thing when we see the smiles on these children’s faces.”Click here for more information on Tafelberg Super Maize Meal
