Brand and design specialist, Silverrocket Creative, selected a custom-made, dye-cut Z-CARD® to promote its client, the University of Free State’s College of Student Affairs.

The card, dye-cut into the shape of the College of Student Affairs’ shield logo, also inspired a promotional video – also created by Silverrocket Creative and Rooistoel TV - about the University of the Free State and its various colleges. To view the video, click here https://vimeo.com/72468478.

Bloemfontein-based Silverrocket Creative, launched in 2002, enjoys a national portfolio of clients across the tourism, commercial, retail and education sectors. It prides itself on its research-based, thoroughly investigated and thought through brand design process.

“We selected the Z-CARD® for the University of the Free State as it recently launched its Student Colleges, a new concept on campus. The university needed to introduce the idea to students in a format that they would relate to,” says Ailsa Uys, of Silverrocket Creative.

“The information had to be concise and easy to use and carry around, and the dye-cut Z-CARD® fit the brief perfectly,” she adds.

The cards were handed out at the launch of the new student colleges to all University of the Free State students, as a primary audience, and to other stakeholders as a secondary audience.

“The design of the cards fit the brand design in the shape of the shield and so was a perfect fit all round. They were thus extremely positively received by all - the students loved them and we will need to reprint to supply the demand,” says Uys.
