Stimorol Fives Futbol Festival 2013

Fives Futbol, in association with Stimorol & Stretch Experiential Marketing, are bringing Africa’s largest five-a-side football and lifestyle festival to Cape Town. The Stimorol Fives Futbol Festival will take place all day on 7th December 2013 at Fives Futbol’s Century City venue in Cape Town.
The first festival of its kind will boast six all-weather floodlit synthetic fields as well as two beer gardens, brought to you by Savanna. With Stimorol as headline sponsor, football fans and families alike can expect a day full of fun and entertainment while watching celebrated soccer legends from Ajax Cape Town.

There will be three leagues which teams can enter: The Elite (for experienced players), Corporate (companies can enter teams of employees to take part), and the Stimorol Fun League for the more sociable male and female players who just want to have fun. The Stimorol Fun League will bring all the wild fun that Stimorol is known for and encourages players to dress up in crazy outfits and compete for amazing prizes on the day.

Adam Fine of Fives Futbol, owner of the event, had the following to say, “Fives Futbol, the leading five-a-side company in South Africa, is extremely excited to bring this incredible festival, the largest of its size, to South Africa for all passionate Futbol fans! It promises to be an exciting day for young and old!”

This year, the Stimorol Fives Futbol Festival will also be contributing to soccer development through the support of local township teams. A community initiative includes the invitation to 10 teams from selected non-profit organisations from the surrounding areas, to take part in the tournament free of charge. In addition to the festival, on the Friday prior to the event, a tournament will be hosted for teams from underprivileged areas and Ajax Soccer School players. adidas equipment will be provided to invited teams and Ajax Soccer School players alike.

Nabila Khan, Brand Manager for Stimorol (Mondelez South Africa) says, “Five-a-side soccer is the fastest growing form of soccer in the world and has gained traction and popularity in the UK and US. Stimorol is very excited to bring South Africa its first action packed five- a- side festival. Stimorol is all about FUN, and wants everyone, players and fans, to join in and encourages all fans to dress up and get involved in the Stimorol Fun league!”

Pre-purchased tickets from Computicket will range from R32 for standard and R60 for VIP. Standard tickets are also available at the gate at R40 and R80 for VIP. VIP’s will gain entrance to the Savanna black bar area and will receive a free coupon for one free drink. (Children under five years old get free entrance)

Teams can sign up on the Fives website. Team entrance is priced at R2000 with an optional R500 for a gazebo positioned in the ‘team warm up’ area which boasts an inflatable adi-court. Upon sign up, all players will receive a free branded adidas football shirt. Free parking will be available behind the venue on a first come first serve basis, or at Century City Shopping Centre.
